No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Las Gaunas (5-3) beat 10th ranked Gernika (2-5) in Logrono 68-62 on Saturday. Gernika was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 17-8 charge of Las Gaunas, which allowed them to win the game. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while Gernika only scored 0 point from the stripe. They outrebounded Gernika 37-22 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paula Estebas Armas (-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Genai Walker (190-82, college: Cent.Arkansas) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners.
