There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Porvoon Tarmo (2-5) defeated at home higher ranked Aanekosken Huima (3-3) 89-82 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 26-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Tyrwone Still (199-77, college: W.Virginia St.) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard La Trice Little (186-79, college: Mercy) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Porvoon Tarmo's coach Jouni Gronroos used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Treylon Manning (176-85, college: Texas Coll.) produced 34 points (!!!) and 5 assists and power forward Trey Britton (203-89, college: Anderson, SC) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Porvoon Tarmo moved-up to ninth place. Loser Aanekosken Huima keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Porvoon Tarmo will face higher ranked Pyrinto II (#5) in Tampere in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aanekosken Huima will play at home against Tapiolan Honka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
