Everything could happen in Hamilton, ON at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Marauders and one of their biggest challengers Gee-Gees had identical 0-1 record. This time Marauders used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Ottawa, ON 73-69 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Marauders forced 24 Gee-Gees turnovers. Strangely Gee-Gees outrebounded Marauders 44-32 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gee-Gees were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Loser Gee-Gees still closes the standings with two games lost. Marauders will face Lions (#8) in Toronto, ON in the next round where they are favorite. Gee-Gees will play at home against Lancers (#4) in Windsor, ON and hope to get finally their first victory.
