Regular Season Round 6: Prat Juventud - Avila 64-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (3-2) defeated on the road 6th ranked Prat Juventud (3-3) 81-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Fontedoso Carrefour dominated on the defensive end, holding Prat Juventud to just 7 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was Haitian-American center Robert Joseph (204-78, college: Union, TN) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guinean forward Cheick Sekou Conde (203-92) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Fontedoso Carrefour players scored in double figures. Fontedoso Carrefour's coach Armando Gomez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Joan Tomas (201-92) who recorded 20 points and forward Albert Ventura (196-92) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Coruna. Prat Juventud at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Lan Mobel ISB. Fontedoso Carrefour will meet at home league's second-placed River Andorra in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Prat Juventud will play against Ourense (#3) and hope to secure a win.
