Very expected game when 10th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (1-8) were crushed at home by fourth ranked Shinshu BW (5-4) 84-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Shinshu BW. Iwate Big Bulls was better in fourth quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Iwate Big Bulls to just 6 points in second quarter. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Global Sports Plaza) responded with 23 points and 5 rebounds and power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Vlasios Vlaikidis gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Shinshu BW maintains fourth place with 5-4 record, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Iwate Big Bulls lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against Shinshu BW (#5) in Nagano.
