There was a small surprise when top-ranked Thunderwolves (2-0) crushed 4th ranked RMC (0-2) in Kingston, ON 115-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. Thunderwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RMC to just 7 points in second quarter. Thunderwolves dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to RMC's 24. Thunderwolves forced 19 RMC turnovers and outrebounded them 46-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by RMC's players. It was a very good performance for American forward Adam Johnson (, college: Georgetown, KY) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Anthony McIntosh contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Thunderwolves players scored in double figures. Guard Idris Said-Madjid (198) replied with 22 points and guard Connor Duke (191) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for RMC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunderwolves keep a position of league leader, which they share with 8 other teams. Loser RMC still closes the standings with two games lost. Thunderwolves will face Blues (#3) in Toronto, ON in the next round, which may be the game of the day. RMC will play on the road against Warriors in Waterloo, ON and hopes to get finally their first victory.
