Regular Season Round 11: Fukuoka Rizing - Takamatsu FA 89-63

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Takamatsu FA (0-10) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (6-4) 89-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Takamatsu FA was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Takamatsu FA to just 7 points in first quarter. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 48. Fukuoka Rizing forced 22 Takamatsu FA turnovers. It was a great evening for American swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M - C.C., agency: VVG Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Gerald Inman (208-87, college: Rutgers) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds. Inman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. STVn center Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Michael Nunnally (203-86, college: Pacific) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chiba Jets. Takamatsu FA at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
