Everything went according to plan in Katowice where seventh ranked AZS AWF K-ce (5-3) won against 9th ranked HK Zory (3-5) 83-72 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 29-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. AZS AWF K-ce shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was guard Damian Tokarski (192-88) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Marceli Dziemba (190-92) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five AZS AWF K-ce players scored in double figures. Forward Lukasz Ochodek (195-82) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and forward Przemyslaw Jasinski (198-86) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS AWF K-ce moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with WKK Obiekty. HK Zory lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. AZS AWF K-ce will face Nysa Klodzko (#12) in Kloszko in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HK Zory will play at home against MKS Skierniew. in Skierniewice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
