There was no surprise in Quaregnon where 6th ranked Leuven Bears (3-3) were defeated by fourth ranked Dexia Mons-Hainaut (5-2) 86-76 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-76. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky) who added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Monta McGhee (198-79, college: Lewis, agency: I.D.S. Law) responded with 17 points and Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Dexia Mons-Hainaut and four Leuven Bears players scored in double figures. Dexia Mons-Hainaut have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Oostende. Loser Leuven Bears keep the sixth position with three games lost. Dexia Mons-Hainaut will meet Antwerp Giants (#4) on the road in the next round. Leuven Bears will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster and hope to secure a win.
