Regular Season Round 8: UL Eagles - Killester 80-68
Date: November 13, 2011
An interesting game for UL Eagles (4-4) which hosted in Limerick second-ranked 11890 Killester (5-2). Third ranked UL Eagles managed to get a 12-point victory 80-68. Strangely 11890 Killester outrebounded UL Eagles 55-31 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Four UL Eagles players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks by naturalized American forward Jermaine Turner (195-74, college: Dowling) did not help to save the game for 11890 Killester. Mariano Gomes added 19 points for the guests. UL Eagles maintains third position with 4-4 record having four points less than leader UCC Demons. Defending champion 11890 Killester keeps the second place with two games lost.
