Regular Season Round 4: UPEI - St.Mary's 92-77

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Panthers (2-0) beat 6th ranked Huskies (1-3) in Charlottetown, PEI 92-77 on Sunday. The game without a history. Panthers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Panthers forced 19 Huskies turnovers. It was a very good performance for guard Jonathan Cooper (183-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Terrence Brown (186) contributed with 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Panthers' coach Tim Kendrick allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Tory Fassett replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and forward Riley Halpin (203) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Huskies. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Panthers keep a position of league leader, which they share with 8 other teams. Huskies lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Panthers will have a break next round. Huskies will play at home against the league's leader Varsity Reds (#1) in Fredericton, NB.
