Very significant was Lev Hasharon's (#8) 90-83 road victory against 7th ranked Hod Hasharon. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hod Hasharon won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hod Hasharon was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Anthony Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) added 18 points and 9 rebounds. Hod Hasharon's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lev Hasharon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Elitzur Yavne. Hod Hasharon at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Lev Hasharon will play against Elitzur Ramla (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Hod Hasharon will play against Ironi Ramat Gan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
