The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Trenkwalder RE as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Trenkwalder RE edged 6th ranked Givova Scafati in Reggio Emilia 79-77. The hosts were already 14 points ahead at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 27-14 last quarter charge of Givova Scafati cut the lead to 79-77 at the end of the game. Five Givova Scafati players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Givova Scafati at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Givova Scafati will play next round against Tezenis Verona trying to get back on the winning streak. Trenkwalder RE will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Enel Brindisi on the road.
