Regular Season Round 7: Srbija - Nassjo 85-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Malmo. Leader host Srbija (6-0) defeated their biggest opponent Nassjo (5-1) 85-77. It was a key game for the top position in South. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But Nassjo won second period 26-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Srbija won last quarter 24-18. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Guard Ted Cedermarker (182-79) fired 30 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Serbian forward Nino Zurovac (202-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Serbian power forward Srdjan Damjanovic (204-79) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Fredrik Heikkinen (185-85) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Four Nassjo players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Srbija. They maintain first place in South with 6-0 record. Loser Nassjo keeps the second position with one game lost. Srbija will meet Brahe Basket (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nassjo will play against Hogsbo in Goteborg and hope to secure a win.
