Date: November 13, 2011
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Lund where 9th ranked IK Eos (1-3) were defeated by tenth ranked Fryshuset (0-5) 89-85 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 45-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Fryshuset dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to IK Eos' 40. IK Eos were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Walter Lindstrom (-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Nathan Dawit (192-94) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. Four Fryshuset players scored in double figures. Fryshuset's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side swingman Daniel Gustafsson (197-90) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) scored 18 points. Despite that victory Fryshuset went down to eleventh position (South) due to points difference, which they share with Norrkoping BK. IK Eos lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth place with three games lost. Fryshuset will face higher ranked Helsingborg (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
