Hapoel Holon (#7) forced the game against Ironi Ashkelon (#2) into an overtime, but lost by four points 87-91 on Sunday night. The game took place in Holon. But the guests from Ashkelon were better at the end. Hapoel Holon was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Ironi Ashkelon, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. Four Ironi Ashkelon and five Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Ironi Ashkelon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Holon at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Ironi Ashkelon will face Maccabi Rishon (#6) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round. Hapoel Holon will play on the road against Elitzur Netanya.
