Regular Season Round 11: Anwil - AZS Koszalin 99-70

Date: November 13, 2011
Not a big story in a game in Wloclawek where 6th ranked AZS Koszalin (5-4) was outplayed by third ranked Anwil (7-3) 99-70 on Sunday. The game without a history. Anwil led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) who scored 14 points and 7 assists. American power forward Corsley Edwards (205-79, college: Cent.Conn.St.) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. American guard Stefhon Hannah (185-85, college: Missouri) produced 17 points and the other American import guard J.J. Montgomery (196-82, college: Arkansas St.) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil moved-up to second place. Loser AZS Koszalin keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Anwil will face Siarka Jezioro (#8) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. AZS Koszalin will play at home against Trefl Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
