Regular Season Round 9: Langhus - Asker Aliens 57-109

Bottom-ranked Langhus IL (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 109-57 loss to third ranked Asker Aliens (7-2) in Oslo on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Asker Aliens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Langhus IL's 28 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Langhus IL 60-21 including a 46-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Anthony Lee-Ingram (198, college: Brescia (KY), agency: Warren Sports International) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (on 16-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import forward Cooper Land (203-88, college: Wright St., agency: Warren Sports International) chipped in 13 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. Coach Jamie Andrisevic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Emari O'Garrow (190-78) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Are Kristiansen (185-81) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Defending champion maintains third place with 7-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Baerum Basket. Langhus IL lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted Langhus IL still closes the standings with ten games lost. Asker Aliens will meet league's second-placed Froya Basket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Langhus IL will play against Gimle BBK (#4) in Bergen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
