Regular Season Round 7: Gimle - Oslo Tigers 65-66

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Kvinneligaen took place in Bergen. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 4th placed Gimle (3-3) to fifth ranked Oslo Tigers (2-5) 66-65 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimle. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Oslo Tigers forced 20 Gimle turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Eeva-Maria Mannikkoe who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Anab Ovidie helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Oslo Tigers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Amanda Gran (174-93) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard D'lesha Lloyde (183-86, college: Clemson, agency: KOSM USA) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Oslo Tigers maintains fifth place with 2-5 record. Gimle at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Oslo Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gimle will play on the road against Ammerud (#3) in Oslo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
