The most important game in the last round took place in Cantu between third ranked Air Avellino (4-2) and seventh ranked Bennet Cantu (4-2) on Sunday night. Air Avellino was crushed by Bennet Cantu on the road 55-90. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Air Avellino. The game without a history. Bennet Cantu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Bennet Cantu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Air Avellino helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89) who led his team to a victory with 9 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman David Lighty (195-88, college: Ohio St.) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (169-82, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Slovenian-Croatian forward Jurica Golemac (209-77, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points in the effort for Air Avellino. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
