Everything went according to plan in Malmo where leader Malbas (3-0) outscored 6th ranked Solna Branten (2-2) 91-59 on Sunday. The game without a history. Malbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Solna Branten's 32. They outrebounded Solna Branten 49-21 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Malbas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Solna Branten's players. It was a great evening for Kosovan power forward Korab Ferizi (201-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds. Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) helped adding 17 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. At the losing side Jesper Eliassson (-94) responded with 17 points and Joeffrey Masabe (-90) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Malbas. They maintain fourth place in South with 3-0 record. Loser Solna Branten dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Malbas will face Hoganas (#5) at home in the next round. Solna Branten will play against Helsingborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
