Regular Season Round 7: Kalev/Cramo - Tln Kalev 75-52

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#3) and Tln Kalev (#4). Kalev/Cramo (4-0) crushed visiting Tln Kalev (3-4) by 23 points 75-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tln Kalev. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. Tln Kalev managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tln Kalev to just 5 points in second quarter. Kalev/Cramo forced 19 Tln Kalev turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Gert Dorbek (194-85) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Senegalese center Bamba Fall (216-86, college: SMU) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the other American import forward Matt Shaw (203-88, college: UNLV) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Tln Kalev. Kalev/Cramo have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 4-0 record behind leader Tartu Ulikool. Tln Kalev at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with TTU/Kalev. Kalev/Cramo are looking forward to face Rapla (#4) on the road in the next round. Tln Kalev will have a break next round.
