Regular Season Round 6: Svisloch - Impuls BGUIR 80-91

The most important game in the last round took place in Osipovichi between third ranked SBK Osipovichi (3-3) and fifth ranked BGUIR-RTI (2-3) on Tuesday night. SBK Osipovichi was defeated by BGUIR-RTI at home 91-80. The game was mostly controlled by BGUIR-RTI. SBK Osipovichi managed to win fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by SBK Osipovichi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was swingman Genniadiy Zakhar (198-92) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Aliaksandr Kuzmitski (198-92) chipped in 19 points. BGUIR-RTI's coach Siarhei Varyvodau used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Dmitriy Zaitsev (190-81) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four BGUIR-RTI and five SBK Osipovichi players scored in double figures. BGUIR-RTI moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rubon. SBK Osipovichi at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
