Regular Season Round 9: Sudety - P.Cukier SIDEn 76-85

Very predictable result when second ranked P.Cukier SIDEn (7-1) won against 13th ranked Sudety (2-7) in Jelenia Gora 85-76. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-18. But Sudety won second period 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. P.Cukier SIDEn made 23-of-25 charity shots (92.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Sudety turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Jacek Jarecki (197-88) who scored 23 points and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international guard Lukasz Zytko (181-81) chipped in 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four P.Cukier SIDEn players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and forward Jaroslaw Wilusz (200-85) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for P.Cukier SIDEn. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sokol Lancut. Sudety lost their third game in a row. Sudety at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth place with seven games lost. P.Cukier SIDEn's next round opponent will be SKK Siedlce (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game. Sudety will play against AZS Szczecin (#8).
