No shocking result in a game in Stockholm where top-ranked White Eagles (6-0) outleveled 5th ranked KFUM Blackebergs (5-3) 104-54 on Wednesday. The game without a history. White Eagles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to KFUM Blackebergs' 34. White Eagles forced 29 KFUM Blackebergs turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by KFUM Blackebergs' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joseph Taylor (203-85, college: Wyoming) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Yasin Merzoug (183-79) who added 16 points, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five White Eagles players scored in double figures. Guard Michell Rocque (187-85) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Shawn Mbemba (191-81) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. White Eagles have an impressive six-game winning streak. Despite that victory White Eagles went down to third position (North) due to points difference. Loser KFUM Blackebergs dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. White Eagles will face league's second-placed Taby Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Blackebergs will play against Akropol in Spanga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
