Everything went according to plan in Ottawa, ON where leader Ravens (3-0) outscored 8th ranked Mustangs (1-2) 96-43 on Friday. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mustangs to just 6 points in third quarter. Ravens dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Mustangs' 12. They outrebounded Mustangs 32-17 including a 27-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ravens shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Elliot Thompson (191-89) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and international guard Philip Scrubb (194-92) chipped in 15 points. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Guard Nathan Diloreto (188) responded with 15 points and Ryan Higgins scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ravens have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Mustangs dropped to the second position with two games lost. Ravens will face Lancers (#7) in Windsor, ON in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Mustangs will play on the road against Gee-Gees (#3) in Ottawa, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
