Regular Season Round 13: Shinshu BW - Miyazaki SS 71-82

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (4-8) defeated 4th placed Shinshu BW (6-6) in Nagano 82-71 on Friday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-71. Miyazaki Shining Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for center Darryl Dora (206-85, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Miyazaki Shining Suns players scored in double figures. Miyazaki Shining Suns' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and forward Tyler Hughes (213-84, college: Kansas St.) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Miyazaki Shining Suns moved-up to seventh place. Shinshu BW at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Miyazaki Shining Suns will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play on the road against Yokohama BC (#8).
