No shocking result in a game when third ranked Lleida Basquet (8-2) won against at home 10th ranked Baloncesto Leon (4-6) 89-80. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Baloncesto Leon won third quarter 26-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lleida Basquet made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. American-Madagascar power forward Charles Ramsdell (208-85, college: Tulsa, agency: Court Side) notched 22 points to lead the effort and American-Austrian guard Jason Detrick (198-80, college: Oklahoma) supported him with 23 points. Even 26 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) by American-Dominican point guard Emmanuel Quezada (188-85, college: USF) did not help to save the game for Baloncesto Leon. American power forward JONATHAN Durley (203-88, college: Wichita St.) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lleida Basquet keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Canarias. Baloncesto Leon at the other side dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with 7 other teams. Lleida Basquet will play against CB Granada (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Baloncesto Leon will play against Palencia Baloncesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
