The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Canarias as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Canarias smashed their biggest opponent Ford Burgos in Tenerife 90-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Canarias. Ford Burgos managed to win third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Canarias will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Menorca Basquet in Mahon.
