There was no surprise in Perth where 9th ranked West Coast Waves (1-8) were defeated by second ranked Bulleen Boomers (6-2) 90-82 on Friday. West Coast Waves trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-90 at the end of the game. Bulleen Boomers made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 West Coast Waves turnovers and outrebounded them 41-25 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. West Coast Waves were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International center Liz Cambage (203-91) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. International guard Rachel Jarry (185-91) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Bulleen Boomers players scored in double figures. The former international forward Rohanee Cox (182-80) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jasmine Hooper (177-91) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Bulleen Boomers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Despite that victory Bulleen Boomers went down to third position due to points difference. Loser West Coast Waves keep the ninth place with eight games lost.
