Regular Season Round 13: Shimane SM - Fukuoka Rizing 88-95

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing and 3rd placed Shimane Magic had identical 6-4 record. But Shimane Magic was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Fukuoka 95-88 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 57-47 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Fukuoka Rizing forced 20 Shimane Magic turnovers. Shimane Magic was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M - C.C., agency: VVG Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) answered with 27 points and 9 rebounds and forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Fukuoka Rizing. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Shimane Magic at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play again at home against Fukuoka Rizing (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
