There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Bisons (2-4) lost to thirteenth ranked Bobcats (2-4) in Brandon, MB 91-98 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bisons won third quarter 27-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bobcats made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Bisons turnovers. It was a good game for Ilarion Bonhomme who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Emerick Ravier contributed with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Bobcats' coach Gil Cheung allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Jonar Huertas (183) replied with 31 points and American guard Stephan Walton (175-87, college: Valdosta St.) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Bisons. Four Bobcats and five Bisons players scored in double figures. Bobcats moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Bisons. Bobcats will have a break next round.
