Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Toyama Grouses and 7th ranked Saitama Broncos had identical 4-6 record. But Saitama Broncos were not able to use a home court advantage and were outscored by the opponent from Toyama 96-70 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 26 points. Toyama Grouses dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 42. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 44-32 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) answered with 28 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Kenny Satterfield (188-81, college: Cincinnati) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Toyama Grouses (5-6) moved-up to sixth place. Saitama Broncos at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Toyama Grouses will have a break next round.
