There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Marauders (3-1) rolled over second-best Voyageurs (1-3) in Sudbury, ON 99-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Marauders. Voyageurs was better in second period 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Voyageurs 37-25 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Cam Michaud (198) who led his team to a victory with 28 points. Aaron Redpath contributed with 15 points for the winners. Five Marauders players scored in double figures. Marauders' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alex Ratte replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Shavaan Sheldon added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Voyageurs. Marauders have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Voyageurs dropped to the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
