Regular Season Round 6: Cape Breton - Dalhousie 97-74

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Tigers (1-3) were smashed by eighth ranked Capers (1-2) in Sydney, NS 97-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Capers. Tigers was better in third quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Tigers' players. It was a good game for guard Al Alilovic (198) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Five Capers players scored in double figures. Guard Stephen Lopez (188, college: Bossier-Parish CC) replied with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jumol Mullings (185) added 9 points and 6 assists in the effort for Tigers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capers left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Laval and McGill. Loser Tigers dropped to the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
