Regular Season Round 6: Waterloo - Queen's 79-70

Date: November 19, 2011
There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Warriors (3-1) beat bottom-ranked Golden Gaels (0-4) in Waterloo, ON 79-70 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 22-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Cam McIntyre (191-87) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. Guard Wayne Bridge (188-90) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Warriors players scored in double figures. Forward Nikola Misljencevic (196) replied with 28 points and 5 rebounds and guard Ryan Golden (183) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Golden Gaels. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Warriors have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Golden Gaels still closes the standings with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
