The game in Zilina supposed to be also quite interesting. 7th ranked Levice (5-8) played at the court of eighth ranked Vahostav-Zilina (4-8). Vahostav-Zilina smashed Levice 95-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vahostav-Zilina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Levice's 30. They outrebounded Levice 43-20 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vahostav-Zilina looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Perry Petty (185, college: UTPA) who had a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. The former international center Ondrej Soska (208-78) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Vahostav-Zilina's coach Ludovit Smacko felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. International forward Richard Urland (195-84) produced 17 points and power forward Jaroslav Moravek (200-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Vahostav-Zilina maintains eighth position with 4-8 record. Levice lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Vahostav-Zilina will meet higher ranked Svit (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Levice will play against Nova Ves and hope to secure a win.
