We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Sassari where thirteenth ranked Banco di Sard. (3-3) won against 12th ranked Lottomatica Roma (3-4) 80-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Banco di Sard.. Lottomatica Roma was better in second period 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Banco di Sard. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Benetton TV and Pepsi Caserta. Loser Lottomatica Roma dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Banco di Sard. will face Banca Tercas (#16) in Teramo in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lottomatica Roma will play at home against the league's second-placed Bennet Cantu having rather not much hope for a victory.
