Regular Season Round 9: Tur Bielsk Pdl. - UKS Siemaszka 84-86

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (4-4) was edged by eighth ranked UKS Siemaszka (5-4) in Bielsk Podlaski 86-84 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 23-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Tur Bielsk Pdl. outrebounded UKS Siemaszka 40-20 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for UKS Siemaszka especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UKS Siemaszka made 9 blocks. It was a good game for guard Tomasz Buczek (185-90) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Przemyslaw Stecko (195-84) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Arkadiusz Zabielski (195-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and forward Aaron Weres (196-91) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks in the effort for Tur Bielsk Pdl.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. UKS Siemaszka moved-up to sixth place in Group C. Tur Bielsk Pdl. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. UKS Siemaszka will face league's second-placed MKS Limbach in Limanowa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play on the road against Handlopex AZS (#5) in Rzeszow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
