Undefeated leader UL Aughinish delivered the eighth consecutive win. This time they beat 5th ranked Waterford Wildcats (3-4) 65-53 in Limerick. Strangely Waterford Wildcats outrebounded UL Aughinish 43-27 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-British guard Rachel Vanderwal (176-83, college: Boston U.) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 steals. The former international guard Miriam Liston (173-83) contributed with 7 points and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Jenny Coady (-82) answered with 20 points and the former international center Niamh Mullally (180-84) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Waterford Wildcats. UL Aughinish (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Waterford Wildcats at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. UL Aughinish will play against Ulster Rockets (#4) in Belfast in the next round. Waterford Wildcats will play on the road against the league's second-placed TM Hotel Cork and hope to get back on the winning track.
