Very predictable result in Zamora where third ranked Rivas Ecopolis (5-1) beat 11th ranked Cajarural (1-5) 83-76 on Saturday. Cajarural trailed by 13 points at halftime and as many as 19 after three quarters before a 26-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 76-83 at the end of the game. Rivas Ecopolis outrebounded Cajarural 33-22 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Asjha Jones (188-80, college: Connecticut) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin center Jelena Dubljevic (191-87) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) with 16 points and forward Mariona Ortiz (183-92) scored 12 points. Four Rivas Ecopolis and five Cajarural players scored in double figures. Rivas Ecopolis maintains third position with 5-1 record having just -2 point less than leader Perfumerias.
