No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Givova Scafati (5-3) defeated at home 10th ranked Tezenis Verona (3-5) 83-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Givova Scafati. Tezenis Verona was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Givova Scafati especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Nikola Radulovic (207-73) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Naturalized Argentinian guard Antonio Porta (188-83, agency: Players Group) produced 17 points and 4 steals and American forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Four Tezenis Verona players scored in double figures. Givova Scafati moved-up to fifth place. Loser Tezenis Verona dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Givova Scafati will face Assi Ostuni (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
