Regular Season Round 8: LeGamberi FO - Nuovo Napoli 72-64

Bottom-ranked S.Antimo (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 72-64 loss to fourteenth ranked MarcoPoloShop.it (3-4) in Forli on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But S.Antimo won third quarter 17-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St., agency: Pro One Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Austin Freeman (190-89, college: Georgetown) who added 18 points during the contest. Five MarcoPoloShop.it players scored in double figures. American guard David Teague (196-83, college: Purdue) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Alessandro Cittadini (207-79) scored 13 points. MarcoPoloShop.it moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted S.Antimo still closes the standings with seven games lost. MarcoPoloShop.it will meet Aget Imola (#10) on the road in the next round. S.Antimo will play against Biancoblu BO (#8) in Bologna and hopes to get finally their first victory.
