Rather expected game in Spanga where one of their biggest challengers Akropol (5-3) was defeated by top-ranked White Eagles (6-0) 71-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. White Eagles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. White Eagles forced 22 Akropol turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jonas Ghebremeskel (181-84, college: Wiley) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 assists and Serbian guard Aleksandar Perisic (201-83) who added 11 points and 4 assists during the contest. Forward Richard Hartmann (201-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and guard Joel Pietros (188-83) scored 8 points. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. White Eagles have an impressive six-game winning streak. Despite that victory White Eagles went down to third position (North) due to points difference. Loser Akropol keeps the fourth place with three games lost. White Eagles will face league's second-placed Taby Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Akropol will play against KFUM Blackebergs in Vallingby and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
