Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (7-5) beat on the road 10th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (1-11) 91-82 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Iwate Big Bulls won third quarter 27-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hamamatsu Phoenix won last quarter 27-20. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh, agency: VVG Sports) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Ivorian-French power forward Mamadou Lamizana (207-81, college: Rutgers, agency: VVG Sports) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest.
