Very important is a road loss of third ranked Denso Iris (11-5) against fifth ranked Chanson V-M (7-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Denso Iris were defeated by Chanson V-M in Shizuoka 72-54. The game without a history. Chanson V-M led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Denso Iris' 28. Chanson V-M looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Key Miho (176-85) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) who added 15 points, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. At the losing side international center Maki Takada (183-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Tamotsu Huziwara (175-87) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Chanson V-M maintains fifth position with 7-9 record, which they share with Mitsubishi K. Denso Iris at the other side keep the third place with five games lost. Chanson V-M will meet league's leader JX Sunflowers in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Denso Iris will play against the league's second-placed Toyota A. in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
