Regular Season Round 6: Galil Gilboa - B.C. Habikaa 75-67

Very important is a road loss of third ranked B.C. Habikaa (3-2) against fourth ranked Galil Gilboa (4-2) on Sunday night. Visiting B.C. Habikaa was defeated by Galil Gilboa in a tough game in Galil 67-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But B.C. Habikaa won fourth quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galil Gilboa made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Romeo Travis (200-84, college: Akron) notched 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Chaisson Allen (192-89, college: Northeastern) supported him with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Galil Gilboa's coach Lior Lubin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) did not help to save the game for B.C. Habikaa. Power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Galil Gilboa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel J-M. Loser B.C. Habikaa dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Galil Gilboa will meet Bnei Hasharon (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. B.C. Habikaa will play against the league's leader Ironi Ashkelon (#1) and hope to secure a win.
