There was a change at the National League leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Hapoel Tel-Aviv (6-1). They were defeated by second ranked Kiryat Tivon (6-1) 83-78 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-17. But Hapoel Tel-Aviv won second period 21-17. At the losing side American Curtis Kelly (205-88, college: Kansas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import point guard Demontez Stitt (186-89, college: Clemson) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kiryat Tivon keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Macc.B.Yaakov. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play next round against strong Beer Yaakov trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kiryat Tivon will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba on the road.
