Hapoel Kfar Saba has finally registered their first victory this season after six consecutive loses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Ironi Nahariya (4-2) 90-84 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime then Ironi Nahariya managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Hapoel Kfar Saba who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-8. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Guard Or Ron (181-88) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Hapoel Kfar Saba's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international swingman Jeron Roberts (194-76, college: Wyoming, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and guard Avi Eliyahu (175-87, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Five Hapoel Kfar Saba and four Ironi Nahariya players scored in double figures. Hapoel Kfar Saba (1-6) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Ironi Ramat Gan. Ironi Nahariya at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Hapoel Kfar Saba will meet at home league's leader Kiryat Tivon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Nahariya will play against Elitzur Yavne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
