Regular Season Round 14: Yokohama BC - Shinshu BW 86-58

There was an upset when higher ranked Shinshu BW (7-7) was crushed on the road by ninth ranked Yokohama BC (5-7) 86-58 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Yokohama BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Shinshu BW's 28. They outrebounded Shinshu BW 44-28 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Chas McFarland (213-86, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 13 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Five Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Reggie Geary felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) responded with 15 points and power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Yokohama BC moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Saitama Bron. and Toyama Grouses. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
